Minimum requirement: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7). Experience: Appropriate experience in a health- related environment. Inherent requirements of the job: Basic literacy, both written and verbal. Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays and overtime when necessary Physically fit to lift heavy objects, push trolleys and stay on feet for long hours. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal relations skills and ability to work in a co-operative way within a team context. Basic understanding of disinfection, decontamination and sterilization.

Effectively decontaminate pack and sterilise instrument and linen packs and handle soiled equipment and contribute to cleaning of CSSD unit. Effectively operate instrument washing machines autoclaves and other equipment clean check and test them and do biological and chemical testing. Support supervisor and colleagues, be loyal and ethical in conduct. Support to Household Supervisor regarding linen and household duties.
